On paper it is Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Blah,Blah and Blah. But let me give you exposure of reality, a corrupt Government Engineer(Be it Junior Engineer or Chief Engineer) makes much more than highest package holders from IITs. Now you must be wondering what about Sunder Pichai or Satya Nadella, does these corrupt fishes stand a chance before these Billionaire CEOs, Absolutely Not ! But then these are exceptionals and an average IITian cannot earn in his lifetime like what they earn in a period of 5-10 years. A Junior Engineer(newly recruit from State Engineering Exam) with his malpractices earns at least 50 lacs per annum and that too without paying any tax or being betrayed by Bosses. Search for Yadav Singh case of corruption in wikipedia and you'd get to know what government position is all about. He had approx. 10,000 crores during his period as Chief Engineer for NOIDA. He was later raided by IT department in November 2014 and would go scot free because that's how the judiciary system works. Now i am not at all endorsing corruption and neither i am saying being an IITian is cool,It's all about perception and if either way it's working out for you then god bless you but we are no one to decide good or evil and neither we can do anything about Corruption in government department or being treated like a doormat in a Private sector. I gave you a reality check, lets see if you choose it or not. https://www.fieldengineer.com/blogs/highest-paying-engineering-jobs
